- Stove Vent: Broan Nutone Model 2736-A

Setup

The stove is already connected to gas so simply ensure cookware is placed on the grate before igniting a burner to prevent damage or uneven heating.

Lighting Burner

Turn the desired burner control knob from “Off” toward “Lite". You will hear clicks (that is the ignitor), then the electronic ignition will spark and light the gas automatically. Once lit, adjust the flame intensity to your preferred level by turning the knob.

Adjusting Flame

Match Flame Size to cookware. A flame larger than cookware is inefficient and will heat handles:

High Flame - boiling & searing

Medium Flame - simmering & frying

Low Flame - gentle simmering & keeping warm

Cooking Ware Compliance

Ensure all grates are properly seated and level before use. Use flat-bottomed cookware that sits evenly on the grate to promote even heat distribution and reduce spills.

Ventilation Fan

Use the fan control button located near the cooktop to activate the ventilation system. Turn the fan on before or during cooking to manage heat, steam, and odors.

Fan Adjustment

Select the appropriate fan speed based on cooking intensity. Higher speeds are ideal for searing or heavy cooking; lower speeds are suitable for light simmering.

Powering Down

After cooking, turn all burner knobs to Off. Allow the fan to continue running briefly to clear residual heat or odors, then switch it off once the area is ventilated.

Lighting Burner

Press the power button to activate the machine. The control panel illuminates, showing available wash programs and settings. Ensure the door is securely closed before proceeding.

Load Laundry

Place garments evenly inside the drum, avoiding overfilling so clothes have room to move. Close the door gently but firmly.

Choose Cycle

Use the dial or touch controls to select a wash program suited to your load (e.g., Normal, Delicates, Heavy Duty, Bright Whites, or allergen‑focused cycles). Many models also support additional cycles downloadable through the LG ThinQ app.

Customize Settings

Adjust temperature, spin speed, soil level, and optional features such as Steam or Pre‑wash for enhanced cleaning. Options like ColdWash save energy while still activating detergent effectively, and Steam helps reduce allergens and wrinkles.

Add Detergent & Additives

Place laundry detergent and any softeners or bleach into their designated dispenser compartments according to load size and fabric type.

Start & Monitor

Press Start/Pause to begin the cycle. You can monitor progress on the machine’s display or via the LG ThinQ app on your smartphone, which also allows remote start, cycle download, and notifications when laundry is complete.

End & Disabling Audible Notifications

When the cycle finishes, the machine will alert you. Open the door and remove laundry promptly to prevent wrinkles or odors. Leave the door slightly ajar between uses to promote airflow and freshness.

For those who don't like the audible notification: Press and hold the Signal (or Sound) button on the control panel for about 3 seconds. This will toggle the audible alerts on or off, so the washer operates silently while still functioning normally.

Dryer

Whether you’re finishing a delicate wardrobe piece or fluffing plush towels, the intuitive controls and diverse cycle options adapt to your lifestyle with simplicity and style. Built‑in features like sensor drying help protect fabrics and conserve energy, while options likeSpeed Dry and Air Dry give you flexibility for small or heat‑sensitive loads.

- LG Model: DLEX4200W. S/NO.:109KWSBAV638

Prepare Load

Place similar items together — this helps the sensor dry system work most effectively and protects delicate garments.

Tip: Close zippers and garment fasteners to avoid snags.

Clean Lint Filter

Lift the lint screen and gently remove lint after every load. This simple step enhances drying performance, reduces energy use, and maintains airflow for crisp results.

Load

Place your wet laundry evenly in the drum. Avoid over‑loading; clothes should tumble freely for best results. Balanced loads dry faster and more evenly.

Power On & Select Cycle

Press Power to wake the controls, then turn the cycle dial or tap the dial display to choose your drying program. Common cycles include:

  • Normal / Cotton – Everyday fabrics
  • Delicates – Low heat for silk and lingerie
  • Heavy Duty – Towels, denim
  • Speed Dry / Quick Dry – Small loads fast
  • Air Dry – Heat‑free drying for heat‑sensitive items

LG’s Sensor Dry automatically adjusts time and heat based on moisture — helping prevent over‑drying and fabric stress.

Customize Dry

Use the dryer’s buttons to refine your cycle:

  • Dry Level: Choose how dry clothes should be (e.g., Damp Dry if you plan to iron).
  • Temperature: Tailor heat to fabric needs.
  • Time Adjustments: Add or reduce minutes for precise care (especially for small loads or freshening).

Tip: For wrinkle‑free results, select the Wrinkle Care option — it reconnects gentle tumbling periodically after the cycle ends.

Start

Press Start/Pause to begin. Your LG dryer will show the estimated time remaining, which may adjust as the sensor measures moisture levels — a sign of thoughtful precision at work.

Unload

When the cycle completes, fabrics are ready to wear or fold. Empty promptly to keep garments smooth and fresh. Wipe the interior drum and empty the lint filter again so each cycle starts clean.

Loading the Dishwasher

Open the dishwasher door fully and pull out the racks. Ensure nothing blocks the spray arms from rotating.

Adding Detergent & Rinse Aid

Close the door until it latches. Use the control panel to select the desired cycle (e.g., Normal, Heavy, Light, Express Wash). Many KitchenAid models include soil-sensing technology, which adjusts water usage and cycle duration automatically. Confirm selections and press Start to begin the cycle.

Operating Special Features

Use optional features such as Heated Dry, Steam, or Sanitizing modes as needed. Activate these through the control panel, ensuring the dishwasher door remains fully closed during operation.

Cleaning the Dishwasher

After each cycle, remove any large food debris from the bottom filter and wipe down the interior. Periodically clean the spray arms by removing and rinsing them to prevent clogs. Wipe door edges and gasket to prevent mold or residue buildup.

Routine Maintenance & Inspections

Check the water inlet valve and hoses for leaks. Inspect the filters and replace or clean as necessary, typically every 3–6 months. Ensure that detergent and rinse aid compartments are functioning correctly. Run a cleaning cycle with dishwasher cleaner monthly to prevent odors and buildup.

Troubleshooting Common Issues

If dishes are not clean, ensure the spray arms are unobstructed and detergent is fresh. If the dishwasher does not start, check that the door is fully latched and the circuit breaker is on. For persistent issues, consult the KitchenAid manual or contact a certified technician.

Use the Bake, Broil, Convection, or other function buttons to begin programming a cooking mode. Ensure that the oven cools between uses and that no obstructions are inside the cooking chambers prior to operation.

Setting Temperature & Cooking Mode

For more even heat distribution and faster cook times, use Convection Bake or Convection Roast. Some models offer specialty modes such as Air Fry, Proof, Slow Cook, or Keep Warm. Refer to the control panel icons or digital prompts when selecting these modes, and always monitor food progress to prevent overcooking.

Using Convection & Specialty Functions

For more even heat distribution and faster cook times, use Convection Bake or Convection Roast. Some models offer specialty modes such as Air Fry, Proof, Slow Cook, or Keep Warm. Refer to the control panel icons or digital prompts when selecting these modes, and always monitor food progress to prevent overcooking.

Timer & Automatic Shutoff Features

Set a timer using the control panel for precise cook times. Many KitchenAid ovens also allow you to program automatic shutoff at the end of a cooking cycle. Use these features to manage complex meals or simultaneous dishes, and confirm that alerts are audible for staff or users in other areas of the home.

Routine Cleaning & Surface Care

After each use and once the oven is cool, wipe interior surfaces with a damp cloth and mild, non‑abrasive cleaner. Remove racks and clean separately with warm, soapy water. Periodically clean the oven door glass with a safe cleaner. For self‑cleaning cycles, follow the manufacturer’s instructions to avoid damage to interior components.

Maintenance of Seals & Gaskets

Inspect door seals and gaskets regularly. Intact seals help maintain consistent oven temperature and efficiency. If seals appear cracked, brittle, or loose, schedule service to replace them. Clean around the gasket with a soft cloth to remove food debris that could inhibit sealing.

Troubleshooting & Safety Checks

If the oven does not heat, verify power availability and that the circuit breaker has not tripped. Confirm temperature selections and that the correct oven (upper or lower) has been chosen. For error codes on the digital display, consult the service section of the KitchenAid manual or contact a certified appliance technician. Always allow the oven to cool and disconnect power before attempting any internal cleaning or inspection.
